The beauty, the melancholy, the tangible sorrow in people's lives, the carefreeness of two girls in a dance in the historic center...

The art, the architecture in silence very often overlooked... This is what I decided to highlight in an aspect ratio of 2.39:1 which narrows towards the end to 4.00:1 consequently transmitting a certain anxiety, highlighting the dark side of Palermo, leaving you breathless.

At the end we go in the market where a very high percentage of the population focuses on food, very often neglecting essential parts of a disadvantaged city, mostly abandoned to itself.

A city in need of loving care (…)

I entirely filmed handheld using a Panasonic Lumix S5 with a TTArtisan Tilt 50mm f1.4 and a GoPro 11. For the shots at the market, I used my uncle’s Fuji XT-3 with a 16-55 f2.8 because I didn't have my camera anymore. Music: Tristan Barton - Momentum
